About
Welcome to The World’s Greatest Blog. This blog has undergone wholesale changes since I created it in 2006:
- The name has changed a few times;
- The aims and objectives have been trimmed and re-jigged;
- Three authors have been added - myself, Linda Haywood and an occasional interjection from Martin Bayly, of channel 5 Blair Watch Project fame;
- Other things that I can’t remember
Essentially, we are writing about things from our point of view - as university educated, arguably deeply middle class, yet pretty conscientious, British 20-25 year olds.
Despite that seemingly self-important build up, my main focus has remained light-hearted, and any weighty subjects, when touched upon, are always approached with this in mind. No-one wants to read a complete rant, so we try to avoid them…
The site’s title is by no means arrogant, post-modern or ironic (at least not intentionally): I asked people to suggest a new title and I got few responses - The World’s Greatest Blog was the best one (many of them would probably have seen me in court (and not as a lawyer)).
If you are reading this, I wish you all the best, every success and happiness, and I urge you, if you feel in anyway aligned to, or opposed to any viewpoint expressed within these pages to leave a comment, or register with this blog, and, should you wish to, you can also use The World’s Greatest Blog as a platform to write intelligent (well loosely), thought out articles - o, rather - blog posts.
Enjoy.
