Best Names at Aintree Saturday 5th April 2008
There’s often much politically incorrect talk of the “Housewife’s Choice” in betting around big events like the Grand National -that is, people who don’t normally bet and so go for the pretty grey horses. Click here for a list of the greys running in the 2008 Grand National.
I’m all for silly strategies as I seldom gamble myself. I once pulled off an each-way bet at 40-1 on Wensleydale Web for very, very spurious reasons (the only racing expert I know is from Wensleydale -a contradiction, I know).
So to help those who really don’t care about form, trainers, handicaps or any more of that paraphernalia, I’ve compiled a list of the most interesting names at Aintree on Saturday.
