Laughing Kookaburra’s are so iconically Australian, yet incredibly hard to photograph well - at least for me. I have only managed to get one shot I am happy with. Here it is

As we cruised back in a little tinny boat, from a secluded beach on Great Keppel Island that we had all to ourselves, the sun set over another small island. I got this photo.

Australians see bacon and eggs as their staple national food. An “Aussie Burger” involves bacon, eggs and beetroot whereas an “Aussie Breakfast” consists of eggs, bacon and toast. Nevertheless, we were very impressed with the innovation of a small bakery in Strathalbyn in the Adelaide Hills, who had come up with “The Ned Kelly Pie”. [...]

We encountered this snake in the Atherton Tablelands in North Queensland while walking around a lake. It was second time we saw a snake in Australia, however, the only time we managed to have the camera out before it slithered away.
