Elephants Sleep Lying Down

Elephants sleep lying down - I never knew that until today. Apparently they take a Thatcheresque 3-4 hours on a night, but young ‘uns sometimes nap during the day and their mothers have to wake them up.
Tourists often report dead elephants that are in fact taking a leisurely forty winks.
