Essential Australia - Wildlife - Cockatoos in Flight

This is the first post in the new Essential Australia series of posts. This will feature our best photos from our year long trip around the continent of Australia.

There will be two sections to this feature - Wildlife and Essential Australia - mainly due to the fact that we have roughly the same number of publishable photos that can be categorised in that way.

At the end, I’ll select my top ten into a list, if I remember to. For now, just enjoy:

Cockatoos in Flight

This was part of a huge flock of cockatoos that took off as we walked along the beach at Wye River, on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. A fisherman had scared them, just as I had my camera out to take a photo of the relatively boring scenery. The result is quite a good shot, if a tiny bit out of focus.

As with all the pictures in this site, clicking on the image will take you to a larger, better version.
