Has feminism come full circle?

Has feminism reached its logical conclusion?Feminism has reached its logical conclusion. The only way it can progress further in countries such as the UK is by extending the same equality of opportunity to men by encouraging men into childcare, housekeeping and community activities. Breaking the glass ceiling means turning that age old adage “behind every great man is greater woman” on its head and providing the logistical support for women to enter the upper echelons of business and cultural life. Housewives of old were PA, housekeeper and social secretary all in one. When men are able to provide the same support in a socially acceptable way, women will acheive their full career potential.

An unforseen downside to equality is that households with two wage-earners have pushed up house and commodity prices leading to a diminishing quality of life. It is now impossible for all but the most wealthy people to buy a house without two or more income streams. There is no longer an option to leave one half of the partnership at home to deal with admin, children and the household. As a result, the other half of the population is now in paid work, all the work of a housewife is pushed into valuable evenings and weekends, and higher prices mean that there is no going back.

Feminism has not come full circle, rather it must now reconcile with the other half of the human race in order to construct a new society.
