Linda’s travels continued

G’day pommies. Well it’s darn smoky over here, what with the bushfires an all. Reports from the front are not promising. The “FIRIES” are quickly becoming national heores. That’s firies, not fairies. Colloquialisms are a national pastime. It is great sport to eliminate any stain of British upper-lip-ness that might possibly infect the laid-back national character. Rob goes outside for a “smoko” rather than a smoke and an “ambo” puts his “blinker” on to indicate which way the ambulance is going. Pollies lead the country and Poms invade the beaches.

NEWSFLASH!!! We saw our first kangaroos yesterday. Out in the bush like true Irwinites we stalked nine “roos” for about ten minutes before they out-hopped us.

Other amazing wildlife sightings:

-cockatoos

-a huntsman spider

-magpies. No, not boring British ones you bogun!

These ones can warble like something out of a jungle movie and look much prettier.

-lizard

-stick insect

-red rosellas

Bear in mind that this list may be extended in more detail if we were to raise the budget for a trip to the Northern territory (i.e. Crocs and dangerous spiders) so all you need do to help is: give Rob a pound!

p.s. I HATE LONG-HAUL FLIGHTS!!!
