Name changed to full: Rob Scott – celebrating Rob Scotts the world over

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I’m waiting for a phone call, and I don’t know if it will be the house phone or the mobile. For this reason, I can’t even go outside, and am now beginning to dread visits to the toilet in case the phone rings and I’m in there. Maybe not, but you know what I mean.

Anyway, as so often on boring occasions in front of the computer, I have given up on everything useful that I had been doing, and begun larking about on Google. After the recent name change, I had noticed a few more hits coming under new terms, so I tried a search for “Rob world views” – its pretty exciting, this site is number 3 out of 176,000,000 pages. Not bad, I thought.

Eventually though, I tried searching for my full name, Rob Scott. Nothing. What a pain. So I’ve changed my name on here. I’m sure you’ll agree that it looks extraordinarily professional and is the height of fashion.

This got me thinking. Not unlike Dave Gorman, who made a tv series about meeting other people called Dave Gorman, I decided I would dedicate a blog post to other people called Rob Scott!

So here it is!

My Homage to Other Rob Scott s around the globe

We have the following Rob Scotts online:

Hang on a second, apart from the doctor one, these could easily be my split personalities coming out… But anyway, though this is weird as hell, it is strangely compelling… on we go… We’ve also got:

That is enough for now, as I’ve successfully alleviated all boredom, by doing something so inane that I actually want to just do nothing for a while. Having said that, it is really funny to see what all of these other Rob Scotts are doing – and that they are also telling the world about it through the internet!

If you are a Rob Scott and would like to join the celebration, leave a comment at the bottom, and I’ll get you on board. The more the merrier! Similarly, if you are another website running Rob Scott and you like this page, link to it, you could use this as the link text:

Celebrating Being Rob Scott – because there’s only one… actually there isn’t.

  1. I’m Rob Scott! Or wait, Maybe I’m two of them… I’m pretty sure I’m the Fundamental Shifter (fshift.com, backtobreath.com, robscott.libsyn.com – all the same thing…) and the integral theorist, or facilitator (http://kenwilber.meetup.com/284/).

Neat to see someone put this together… And very fun to see how small the world is becoming.

    Be well Rob Scott,

    Rob Scott

  2. Well, I am very proud of the Rob Scott I bore all those years ago – and hadn’t realised how many I had spawned. Welcome to Rob Scottishness the World Over.

From Jo Scott aka Josephine Scott – how many of the Robs have Josephines as Mums?? or are the fragments one and the same.

    Be well, all Rob Scotts

especially the one to whom I am related… JKS

  3. I just ran accross this website today. What a kick. I know it is a common name, but hey, we are out there. I was the Rob Scott who is the proponent of the downward smash…yes it is a term in Volleyball, aka the spike. I played for Pepperdine University in Malibu California in the mid 1980’s. We won 2 division 1 NCAA national championships. I was on the US Olympic team that won the gold medal in Seoul Korea in 1988, but got cut from the team a month before the games, so alas, no gold for me! Good to hear that there are Rob Scott’s out there in the world doing great things…keep us proud!! I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and have been originating mortgages for 18 years.

  4. Good Effort Rob!

I wasn’t bad when I tried volleyball, but I never got anywhere near a proper team so well done.

At this rate we might just have to hold the world’s strangest convention (though it has been done before by a group of people called Dave Gorman!).

  5. Hi – another Rob Scott here
I am a chiropractor so between all of us we should be able to sort out the world – surely?
