New Look HotchSpot

The HotchSpot site has changed, and now sports a sleek new look. OK, so it is largely similar, simplified and contains more ads, but you know it looks better, right?

Its also the first black site we’ve made in ages, though we’ve kept the lovely header logo.

Check it out here.

What is HotchSpot?

HotchSpot is a site that we dreamed up after realising that, what with our unabated love of creating content based websites on our own and with others and all, we needed a place to quickly display the latest content from each of them. The basic idea being that, as the websites are made by like minded individuals with a similar world view, they are likely to be enjoyed by the same.

What better way to serve content to these people than to put links to stories they are likely to love all into one place? If you like the HotchSpot content, make the page your homepage, then you can always find something a bit different: something you’re interested in.

The Future of HotchSpot?

In future, we’re hoping to make the HotchSpot website much more user-oriented. Pretty soon we’re going to have a large and very diverse range of sites falling under the 24 Hour Trading umbrella - we’ll need some way for you to choose which ones you want to see.

Its in development.

However, there’s no point in creating complicated methods of selection when there is only a choice of one! We’re waiting until after we launch our latest pipeline web projects. Once that is achieved, we’ll get the rest of the HotchSpot site up and running, then further develop it to remember what you like each time you open the site.

We’re also looking into a Digg style voting method so you can quickly access the most popular (as well as the most recent) stories we’ve ever written. That way, we’ll also be able to phase out reliance on Digg, Reddit, Delirious, Delicious, et al in order to show the best posts accross a range of websites - it will be simple and easy.

But enough empty promises, just go and have a look at the simple lines therein.
