Snow in the Dales and in the Lake District
Here’s the view from the bottom of Wensleydale - Canada geese in the warm green fields along with sheep, against a backdrop of snowy hills. This was taken whilst on a run from West Witton to Wensley through the Bolton Estate over Lord’s Bridge. The beauty of this route is that it almost entirely off-road and the bridge is people-only. Being next to the river also provides warmth on snowy days and means there aren’t too many steep slopes.
Here’s the view from Derwentwater and Catbells on 25th March 2008. There’s snow all around and hundreds of people enjoying their Easter holidays.
