Sunday 22nd July -Mount Coot-tha Lookout

Mount Coot-tha lookout. Only a short drive from the city centre, Mount Coot-tha lookout and national park is well worth the drive. The view is only rivaled from that at the top of Mount Gravatt (for directions click here). However, Mount Coot-tha lookout has a busy café and is in close proximity to a planetarium and botanic gardens. Of special interest was the collection of bonsai trees shown here. Mr Myagi eat your heart out. For directions click here.

We then left for New Farm once more, to the Powerhouse, situated next to Brisbane river and a large public park. A free music performance was in full swing when we arrived and later that evening we partook of the free comedy night. The last gentleman on the bill had us in stitches with his comedy songs about Emos. Handily, the renovated mill also houses a restaurant and bar.
