The whole area is quite Anglofied and the flora reflects this. There is a mixture of native plants and European species. Although this is somewhat damaging for the traditional balance of Australian habitats (the creek especially suffers from non-indigenous trees and is undergoing rehabilitation) it provides local gardens with a wonderful variety of colour and form.

The Log Fire and a Bottle of Red Although it is sunny most days, the evenings can get quite chilly. Australian houses rarely have central heating or substantial walls, so a log fire is essential as well as being incredibly rustic.
