Want to transfer money?

I found a really good website for transferring money across from the UK to Australia. As we now have an account in Oz, we needed a way of getting our money from England over to it, without paying too much commission to banks or a forex company. Good for us, then, that I found this site.

It costs £7 to transfer as much money as you like. The bank would have charged £25 per transaction, plus a percentage (around 4%) so, were I transferring £1000, it would cost me £65… The thieves! The exchange rates offered are extremely good (unlike “commission free” money transfer services, who simply rob you on the exchange rate discrepencies between the ‘buy’ price and the ’sell’ price). Also, when you book a transfer, you can specify that you want to choose the exchange rate (for the amount I’m transferring, it may make $200 worth of difference!) that is applied: you can wait until you have the most favourable rate (providing you have the time and patience :)).

I wouldn’t usually endorse products, but this one is genuinely useful for me (and will be for others with accounts in 2 countries like myself) so if you’re travelling or have moved to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore or need Euros, give it a try. Pretty good value in my opinion.

Try it yourself.

Now I’ve found a way of getting pounds over here, I just need a pound. Or, for my friends in Oceania, I just need a dollar!
