YouTube Flash Problem
I seem to be having a problem with YouTube today: it keeps on saying
Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe’s Flash Player.
That is not true. Moreover, when I view embedded YouTube videos on sites like the old Museum of Goalkeeping, I can watch them no bother.
Is it just me? If not, does anyone know of a reason for this. It also works on our other machine. Strange.

This has happened to me a few times since a few months back.
I don’t have the JavaScript off either or an old version, so there must be some error or bug at YouTube.
What I do is I go away and come back to Youtube after 5 minutes or so -then the “error” is gone.
YouTube has really messed up again. You are not the only one having this problem at all. And when you try to use their link to install the “newest” version of Flash it goes to the Adobe page but doesn’t install anything. The people at YouTube appear to increasingly be IDIOTS and they don’t even have anything up on their help section on this despite it being a huge bug.
I´ve got the same problem..i got java turned on and the latest version of flashplayer and still i got the same damn message everytime i try to watch a video on youtube. It worked just fine a month ago but suddenly it just faild. Does anyone have a solution for this problem??
Sorry Tim, mine started working again inexplicably…
I have three machines running Netscape 7. All three acquired the same bug 2 days ago. I have tried all means of repair including reinstall older and new version of flash.
Ditto. Netscape 7.1 on Win98SE, youtube worked just fine with oldest macromedia falsh player then suddenly a few days ago this flash/java message at youtube appeared. I think youtube changed something at their site; maybe Bill Gates paid them off to only allow IE users?
It ain’t just me getting a problem with flash and youtube then! It doesn’t seem to be restricted to any particular system either…
It doesn’t happen for me since the week I wrote this, though there’s been no discernible change at this end which I can attribute this to.
Very odd!
Its happening on more then just youtube for me. It happens on a lot of other sites with videos. And six flags main page wont load for me either.
